Thank you for joining me from Jo’s Blog hop, it’s an honour to be added as a featured guest on this blog hop this month
Today our task was to make a Christmas Decoration for your tree.
Four years ago I made a star shaker decoration for OnStage Stampin Up swaps:
I love the concept so much that my first thought when I saw the theme for this hop was a new updated version of the stars using our Stitched Star dies:
I cut the stars out using Night of Navy cardstock with the biggest and third biggest Star and then the third biggest as the middle for the hole for window.
Using the second biggest star I cut two stars from the Window Sheets and Third biggest with fourth biggest star inside from Silver Foil Sheets.
I stuck the window sheets to the inside of the stars, then placed the outer silver foil star to the front, edging the window as a frame.
Using Foam strips, I placed these round the outside of the star to make a barrier for when I added the Snowflake sequins, once the sequins were in place, I then stuck the completed star pieces together, then adding the Wish word from the ‘Wishes’ die in the Well Written dies, I just cut off the E and S.
To finish the star I added inside star from the silver foil window edging to the top and adhered, then punched a small hole in the top, I then dotted Shimmer Paint in Frost White on the edges and painted the Wish sentiment too.
Adding the Night of Navy Ribbon from the Playing with Patterns ribbon combo pack to finish, I’m quite excited at the possibilities to make these in other colour combos and also not for Christmas!
I shall now pass you back to Jo’s beautiful blog, don’t you just want to make that Christmas Tree!?
