Good Morning all,
It is a fresh new start of the week and also after the day of Love, so the theme today is all things LOVE!
I was requested to make a couple of cards and one was for a Male recipient and the other for a Female, so I can show you both variations!
For the Male Card, using the below colours I was asked to create a card for a Mechanic, this would great as we have an amazing Geared Up Garage Stamp Set and Dies we can use and a retired but still very loved by me set call Nailed it for the tools:
Here is what I came up with:
I made a slimline card from one piece of A4 Cardstock that I scored and folding to open out and show off different elements using the Brick and Mortar 3D embossing folder as a background.
Measurements for this cards are as follows:
A4 Cardstock
- Score on long edge at 10cm and 20cm
- Cut your angle and preferred degree
Layers
- First layer (Red) 20cm x 9cm
- Second Layer (Smoky Slate & White card insert) 19.5cm x 8.5cm
- Ensure your angles are cut to measure
Envelope
- 12 x 12 DSP or Cardstock – I used the In Good taste DSP
- Cut to 24cm x 27cm
- On 24cm side score at: 6.5cm and 17.5cm
- On 27cm edge score either end at 2.5cm
- Fold and adhere.
I then was asked to make a card for a Female which centered around love and hearts and was floral and here is what I came up with using these colours:
And here is my finished design:
I used a couple of old retired dies and punches I still have to complete this card, I still adore the Blooming Hearts dies and the Leaf punch is always a handy one to have!
Using the Well Written dies and selecting the word love, I ran this through the Cutting Machine a couple of times and adhered the cut out words to the Flirty Flamingo card base.
I then cut out the Blooming heart in Real Red and added the flower dies in Flirty Flamingo.
The final sentiment of Love you was cut out with Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, I finished the card by punching out two leaves in Granny Apple Green using the leaf punch and then adding embellishments.
Thank you for stopping by today, I do hope you can join me next Monday for the next Make it Monday!
Below please see the items I used to make my projects.
I would love to receive feedback on my project, so if you like what I have made please leave me a comment, it is very much appreciated.
