Hello!
Thank you for joining me on another Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop.
The Theme this month is Birthdays…. and I had the perfect birthday to celebrate, a wonderful sweet 16th for a beautiful girl!
I decide to make this card bright and pop, here are the colours I used:
I haven’t as yet used the stamps etc from the Butterfly Brilliance Bundle as much as I would have liked to currently and I thought this was the perfect set to use to pair with these colours.
I love a slimline card so I wanted to use it a different way and make a diagonal opening.
I heat embossed the butterfly stamp images using white embossing powder and Versamark onto Fluid 100 paper then using the water painters, I blended the colours into a rainbow using the emboss resist technique.
I cut out the die images of butterflies in Vellum, Basic Black and Basic White cardstock and painted the vellum with Clear Wink of Stella for some sparkle, then I layered these to really make them jump out from the card.
For the inside of the card, I used the pieces I had removed from the front of the card and coloured in with our blends, to bring the rainbow inside the card too!
Cutting out the numbers from the Playful Alphabet dies and the wording from Well Written Dies, the the Let’s Celebrate you from Forever Blooms, I finished the card with the sentiments.
I then had to make a matching envelope from the True Love DSP, I think this will add an element of surprise with the bright colours when she opens the card!
Thank you for stopping by today, I am not going to pass you onto Linda Moore, who I am sure has something wonderful to show you.
