Good Afternoon, I hope you are all well?
I cannot believe it as been a month already since we did the last Stampin’ for Christmas blog hop, I also cannot believe it is September already!
For this month I didn’t really look at my Christmas stamp sets, but more a stamp set I have not used as yet and that also could work as a Christmas card.
So I picked this set:
This is Mountain Air, a reversible photopolymer stamp set. One side features a silhouette and the other side is a detailed image, allowing you to stamp using both sides of the stamp, how cool is that!?
So what did I make with this set?
I started first of all by stamping the Moon using Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I stamped the Mountains background and trees foreground onto the paper using the Black Memento ink pad.
Using my So Saffron, Rococo Rose, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy inks on the Fluid 100 watercolor paper, I applied the ink using the Water Painters, blending the colours to make a sunset, I kept adding ink to areas I wanted darker to give the desired effect.
Once this had dried, I then highlighted the mountains and trees in foreground using a paintbrush with Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder to give the effect of snow.
Wanting to add a bit of sparkle, I ran Clear Wink of Stella across the foreground of the card to look like settled snow.
I flicked the image with the Frost White Shimmer Paint to put some stars in the sky, I also did this on the Night of Navy card base.
Adhering the paper to the layers and onto the card base, I added a piece of white cardstock as my card insert and decided to add the sentiment there instead of the card front as I didn’t want this to take away from the card image.
Thank you for stopping by today, I am now going to pass you on to Narelle, who I am sure has something wonderful to show you.
