The theme for this month’s hop was to make a fancy fold card.
I had not as yet used the beautiful Berry Blessing DSP which I had received in the SALE-A-BRATION promotion and I wanted to use this in my project today.
Here is what I made:
Card Measurements are as follows:
Card Base – Cut at 21cm x 14.9cm
Score and fold on long edge at 5.5cm, 8.5cm, 12.5 and 15.5cm
Granny Apple Green – Cut two panels at 14.5cm x 5cm each
Cut middle piece at 14.5cm x 3.5cm
DSP – Cut two panels at 14cm x 4.5cm
Cut Middle Piece at 14cm x 3cm
Main front panel
Stitched Rectangle Die – I used the Rectangle measuring 9cm x 5.5cm in Whisper White
DSP – Cut at 10cm x 6.5cm
Granny Apple Green – Cut at 10.5cm x 7cm
Poppy Parade – Cut 11cm x 7.5cm
After sticking all of the panels to the card base, I then turned to decorating the main front panel where I stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock the Strawberries in Cherry Cobbler Ink and coloured in with the Poppy Parade Blends, the Leaves and Strawberry stalks were stamped in Garden Green and coloured in with the Granny Apple Green Blends and the Flowers were stamped in Petal Pink and coloured with Petal Pink and So Saffron Blends.
These were then punched out using the Strawberry Punch and Small Bloom Punch for the larger flowers, and were then adhered onto the Whisper White Stitched Rectangle with Dimensionals and Multipurpose liquid glue to offer various heights for texture.
On a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock, I combined two of the sentiments from the Stamp set and Versamarked these onto the card, then heat embossing with White embossing powder and adhering to the panel using dimensionals.
