Hope you are all well and keeping safe and occupied with various crafty projects?
I am lucky to be involved in the July Ink.Stamp.Share Blog hop with this month’s’ theme of Other Celebration – so any form of Celebration other than a birthday.
At first I was a bit stuck with my options, there a few sets from the annual catalogue I haven’t used as yet (I know, shocking!) but then I remembered I need to send my lovely new recruit her welcome gift!
I had purchased the Stampin’ Up! Notebook recently, it is such a beautiful notebook and I absolutely love to use it to plan my classes.
And I thought, why not copy the notebook design when I was making the card and the box to package the gift using the Beautiful Friendship Stamp set.
I made the box using 12″x12″ card stock and I wasn’t too confident to ensure my box fitted my gifts, so I visited YouTube and found a helpful video from Donna at Stampin’ Up! on how to work out your box measurements to suit your gifts, click here for the link.
After assembling, I lined the inside of the box with the In Good Taste DSP and fussy cut some stamped images which I added to the top and bottom of the box, deciding to then add a little colour to the outside panels, by adding Night of Navy card stock onto the lid.
Using a piece of Whisper white cardstock I stamped the images from the set in the various colours, using first and second generation stamping. I then adhered the whisper white piece to the top of the box.
I then added ribbon and a tag, with a heat embossed sentiment onto Night of Navy. To finish the box it just needed a little bit of sparkle with the faceted gems!
Of course when you send a gift, there has to be a handmade card to add you personal note.
I hope you like my project and I am now going to pass on to Jill, who I am sure has something beautiful to share with you. You can use the Next Button below to navigate to Jills’ page or click the names from the list below to browse through the hop.
