Good afternoon all,
Thank you for joining me either from my blog or from Karen’s blog, I hope you loved what she has to share!
Today I am sharing with you a spooky 3D item I have made, a Halloween lantern.
This lantern uses just a few supplies to make. Three pieces of 6″ square cardstock for the base, two pieces of designer series paper measuring 5 1/2″and window sheets. I picked Basic Black as my card base. I used the Hallows Magic Designer Series Paper and a piece of Black Glitter paper.
You are going to take the three pieces of cardstock and score them from point to point diagonally. The DSP is also then cut down the middle from point to point.
Measuring 1.5cm (around 7/8″) from the edge of the cardstock draw a line and remove this cardstock to make your window.
Then glued the pieces together, and using a 2” circle punch and a scrap piece of paper I then made a holder at the bottom for the candle to sit in.
I then decorated the lantern with glitter bats from the suite papers, and added the beautiful cobweb ribbon to the top as a handle.
Here is a video tutorial using the gorgeous Autumn DSP as an alternative….
And here is the finished Gilded Autumn design with a matching card….
I am now going to pass you on to Kristie, who I am sure has something gorgeous to show you!
You can purchase any of the items I have used from my online shop by following the product links below.
I would love to receive feedback on my project, so if you like what I have made please leave me a comment, it is very much appreciated.
